CHICAGO, April 20, 2015 — Scout Exchange—a software company that uses proprietary analytics to find the best search firms and headhunters to fill positions—recently announced the launch of enhanced features developed in direct response to client feedback.

The first new feature, Employer Responsiveness Ratings, gives search firms a way of evaluating a company’s responsiveness. In turn, it also acts as a motivation tool to encourage employers to take action and improve their rating.

A key factor in Employer Responsiveness Ratings, is, of course, the ability to keep things moving through the hiring process. A client pain point heard loud and clear, Scout developed the Candidate Expiration feature to give employers a set time limit for making decisions on submitted candidates. By putting a clock on the submission, it gives internal recruiters a carrot to dangle in front of their hiring managers to get them to act responsively or risk missing out on a great hire.   This also provides search firm recruiters timely status.

Employers also expressed frustration with having to take time out of their already-busy day to field ‘status’ calls. In response, Scout developed its Candidate Status feature. In the spirit of transparency, now, with one click, employers can keep recruiters up-to-date on the status of their candidates throughout the hiring process. An email notifies the recruiter when a candidate has been viewed, shared, accepted, rejected, is in interviews or has been hired, etc.

Scout heard that efficiency was equally important with candidates, as it is with jobs. That’s why they developed the Job Refresh feature. By refreshing jobs after 45 days, Scout is able to make sure inventory is up-to-date and avoid wasting either their employers’ or recruiters’ time. For particularly hard-to-fill positions, employers do have a window to refresh their job if they haven’t achieved the desired candidate results.

Scout is also in the process of creating a rating feature for search firms in response to feedback from employers.  Look for this new feature coming out soon.
